Newsletter October 09
Hi Members
Please find attached our Newsletter for October.
We are seeking a member who has perhaps Publisher skills to take this on.
The new Committee is very aware that communicating what is happening in Shed Land is most vital and a Newsletter is
central to that.
The Shed exists primarily on donations and a few grants..but most importantly members contributions both in terms of manpower, helping on Community projects and supporting fundraising activities and membership fees.
MEMBERSHIP SUBSCRIPTIONS are now due so if you are currently not financial and in a position to pay can I urge you to send or bring in your subscription $50
"Men's Health and Wellbeing- Engaging and Supporting Men who have a Diagnosed Mental Illness".
Following the first highly rewarding 20 week session we did for the Mental Health Council of Australia where the Shed was found to be a welcoming, positive place to work, we are currently undertaking a 10 week project which the Shed is funding.
We are doing this because there were men attending Alma St waiting to have a go at the Shed and we felt that the funding will come in time but the guys haven't got time to wait.
As mentioned, we don't have any funding for this, however the Rotary Club of Melville have pledged some support for our programmes and this will assist here.
Payment of membership dues or help with our fundraising (see Fremantle Art Bazaar article in the Newsletter), will support this project and others Community endeavours we are proud to say the Shed participates in.
Best wishes
Bill
